Effective Artificial Intelligence – minimizing bias, improving performance

It’s no longer possible to judge the performance of an AI solution simply by looking at its overall accuracy, because most real environments, and the people in them, are highly diverse. To assess the performance of AI solutions effectively, we need two dimensions: accuracy and fairness (absence of bias). Furthermore, we need to increase our understanding of the behavior of these systems and how they work, to make them explainable.
