Crowd People Counter for Milestone XProtect - Keep social distancing - Software which measures headcount quickly and accurately for large crowds.
Crowd People Counter for Milestone XProtect quickly analyzes live and recorded video content from network cameras, which is capable of counting and displaying the number of people.It enhances security by monitoring congestion levels in real time. It can also be applied to marketing by analyzing customers from a large sample of people count data in commercial facilities.
For events where many people gather, such as exhibitions and stadiums, the system supports detection of abnormal situations and can prevent accidents. For places such as large shopping malls with many booths, it can assist users with market analysis by identifying the number of people in each area.
This software can display count results and density levels on the XProtect Smart Client, as well as output as CSV or JPEG files. It also supports graphical display, schedule setting, and event notification.
This software is sold as a function of "People Counter Pro for Milestone XProtect" in Japan.

- Human body detection – Able to detect and count people facing the camera, with their backs to the camera, or even overlapping in congested places.
- Density calculation - Able to calculate the number of people per unit area.
- Number of pixels necessary for detecting a person – 15 pixels in width. Able to count people in the distance, who appear very small in the video.
- Analysis of high resolution video – Capable of analyzing the video recorded with 5472 x 3678 resolution.
- Setting the detection areas – Able to set the detection areas and non-detection areas in videos.
