1. You are a software developer at Milestone, but what is your story?

I'm Pavel, currently employed as full-time software developer at Milestone's Sofia office. However, my story doesn't begin here. Originally hailing from a town nestled along the Danube's coast, my quest for knowledge led me to the capital city for university. It was during my second year that an opportunity arose to start an internship at Milestone. The prospect of delving into new technologies, particularly the allure of 'Go', piqued my curiosity and set the stage for an exhilarating journey of growth and exploration.

2. What is your internal career development story?

My journey within the industry has been marked by a profound accumulation of knowledge, as I delved into various facets of the field. At Milestone, one aspect that particularly resonated with me was the project my team was undertaking. Its complexity and potential for innovation captured my interest, driving me to pursue further involvement. My manager acknowledged my dedication and proactive approach and offered me a permanent position before my internship had ended.

3. How did the job transition/ internal development helped you grow personally & professionally?

The trust I was given regarding my new responsibilities developed a profound sense of commitment within me. Beyond this, it also fostered personal growth, reinforcing my confidence in my abilities and motivating me to further develop my knowledge and skills. This confidence moved me to push the boundaries of my capabilities, fostering a continuous cycle of self-improvement and professional development.

4. What is your best career advice?

Embrace curiosity and explore diverse avenues. Understand that failure is not a setback but a stepping stone towards growth. Only through continuous learning and adaptation you can get better. Remember that true growth comes from being brave and challenging yourself.
