Overview
MILES XProtect Plugin - Plugin to integrate a MILES™ fiber optic system for fences or pipelines into Milestone XProtect.
MILES plugin allows you to receive the status and alarm events of Miles devices and related segments into Milestone XProtect.MILES™ is a fiber optic protection system for fence, pipelines and burying.
By using optical interferometric technology, the MILES™ System detects all the intrusion attempts such as climbing, butting or the breaking through of a fence; sabotage attempts on pipelines and approaching of intruders in the buried version.
The FO cable (single mode 9/125) when subject to mechanical stress (pressure, vibration, motion) changes the transmission characteristics of the coherent light inside the fiber giving the alarm.
The integration into Milestone XProtect, allows the use of icons, which can be positioned on the map, to receive device status and alarms and at the same time send commands to the Miles system.
With the receipt of alarm events, it is possible to activate rules, such as for example the movement of a camera that frames the zone in alarm.

- Filters and masks to change sensibility for every zone. Not affected by electromagnetic disturbs and lightening.
- Not affected by weather conditions. Point of intrusion with precision of few meteres. Existing spare fibers can be used.
- LOCATION/LENGHT: Fences, Pipelines, Conduits, Terrain strips. Modular system: from 100m up to 2km.
- ALARM ZONES: Up to 256 zones. Alarm point approximation on the total length of perimeter: +/- 1% of the total lenght.
