The O-Insights MQTT Plugin enables seamless bidirectional communication between Milestone XProtect and IoT systems using the MQTT protocol. With the built-in broker capabilities, it can act as both an MQTT client and broker, eliminating the need for an external MQTT broker.By integrating with industry-leading MQTT-based IoT platforms like Azure IoT, The Things Network, and Eclipse Mosquitto, this plugin allows Milestone XProtect to exchange real-time data, including sensor readings, device status, and event triggers.
With this integration, users can leverage MQTT data for various video analytics and smart surveillance use cases, such as:
🔹People counting for occupancy monitoring
🔹Vehicle counting for smart parking solutions
🔹Environmental monitoring (temperature, air quality, etc.)
🔹Triggering alarms and alerts based on sensor data
🔹Integrating IoT sensor values directly into XProtect dashboards and maps
